Ladakh is in the high Himalaya in the north of India on the Tibetan plateau. Uniquely isolated, the land and people of Ladakh emanate their Buddhist roots and share their humble beauty and stunning landscape. A true bounty of love and compassion. We fly from Delhi to Leh (11,562 feet), the capital of Ladakh, nestled in the shadow of snow capped peaks, surround by high desert and verdant valleys of barley fields, small family gardens, and precious apricot orchards.

We are excited to share a magnificent 10-day trek to the remote and magical Markha Valley and witness some of the most awe inspiring valleys, canyons, river crossings, and magnificent high passes we have ever experienced.

Prior to the trek; Deborah, David, Alison and group members share in our life-long friendship with our Ladahki friends and family for an overnight celebration of meals, dances and cultural exchange and “Aloha”.

This experience will be a rare and intimately rich immersion into Ladakhi life and culture.

Suggested Itinerary Highlights

Enjoy a private local traditional dance performance and music performed exclusively for Yoga Adventure by our old and dear friend and famous cultural Indian envoy Dorje Stokmo.

“Glamp” in the orchards of Stokmo village and soak up the spiritual energy, history, and peaceful rural feel of the area.

Chant with Monks at historic Buddhist monasteries

Meet with Tibetan healers or “Lamus”

Visit the largest market in Leh, the capital of Ladakh
